Perishable & Cold-Chain Shipping Guide
How we pack and ship frozen Louisiana boudin, smoked sausages, and seafood so it arrives frozen solid at your front door.
Weekly Shipping Schedule
Because frozen foods cannot sit unattended in warm carrier hubs over the weekend, we schedule dispatches carefully:
All perishable orders (boudin, sausages, turduckens, crawfish) are packed and dispatched.
Reserved strictly for Overnight 1-Day express shipments to guaranteed delivery areas.
No perishable departures. Orders placed over the weekend begin packing first thing Monday.
How Your Louisiana Order is Packed
Commercial Dry Ice Pellets
Sub-zero commercial dry ice (-109.3°F) sublimates into carbon dioxide gas while absorbing heat, creating a deep-freeze environment inside the cooler during transit.
Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Insulated Cooler
Heavy 1.5-inch thick high-density thermal foam cooler walls prevent outside heat infiltration even on hot summer tarmac tarmac transfers.
Vacuum-Sealed Cryovac Barrier
Sausages and meats are vacuum-sealed at the smokehouse to prevent freezer burn and guarantee freshness up to 12 months in your freezer.
Dry Ice Handling & Safety Instructions
When your cooler arrives, some dry ice may remain, or it may have fully sublimated (evaporated) while keeping the food frozen. Both situations are completely normal.
- Do NOT touch dry ice with bare hands: Use winter gloves, oven mitts, or tongs. Direct contact causes skin burns.
- Do NOT dispose of dry ice in sinks or trash cans: It can crack porcelain or plumbing.
- Safe disposal: Leave the cooler open in a well-ventilated garage or outdoors away from children and pets until the ice dissipates naturally into vapor.
Our 100% Frozen Arrival Guarantee
If your food arrives warm or spoiled due to an in-transit carrier delay, we will gladly send a replacement shipment at our expense or issue a full refund.
